The two committees of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) constituted to probe further Javed Khanani and Kalia and Axact scams on Monday reached Karachi and met with former investigator officer. An official said that the agency formed the two committees following the directions of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and it would also take all records and evidence of these cases into its custody.

He said that the probe in these scams would be progressed in light of briefing from previous investigating officer and available evidence. The four-member committees comprised FIA Deputy Director Jamil Ahmad, Assistant Director Ziaul Islam, Assistant Director Muhammad Sarwar and Assistant Director Muhammad Usman. The committees would lead further investigations of these cases to their logical conclusion, the official said.
